Mothers. Where would we be without them, right? Yet, the struggles mothers face are continuously mounting. What’s worse is most moms believe they are alone in them. This can’t be furthest from the truth!
More and more are the demands and pressures facing families in general. But mothers tend to bear these pressures along with the emotions of her husband (if applicable) and her family. And instead of seeking other moms for help, we isolate ourselves thinking other mothers have it all together and we are the bad apple. A threefold cord is not easily broken. What does that mean? There is strength in numbers! We all need to realize that motherhood is a community. We, as mothers, have a particularly important role, but in giving so much of ourselves to others in this role we get depleted and need to have support and be replenished from time to time.
This has been heavy on my heart lately. Women and mothers feeling alone in the various struggles they face when it doesn’t have to be this way! I’m planning to do a series of motherhood concerns and I would like to start by taking a poll of what you guys believe are the top concerns facing mothers today. I’d really love for everyone to participate and give me a good sampling so that this series can be tailored to the audience.
